New State Director of Assessment

At a recent meeting of the Iowa Soccer Association, the appointment of Shane Smith as the Iowa Director of Assessment for US Soccer was approved.

Shane has been working as the associate director under his predecessor, Jim Albertson. 

Shane brings with him a rich background in professional officiating in the Australian professional divisions.

Shane has also received the recommendation of the USSF, and will begin his duties effective immediately.

At this time, the referees of Iowa acknowledge the many contributions of Jim Albertson as past SRA and SDA.  He has accomplished remarkable things in working for the development of our top level referees.  Jim will continue to serve the Iowa Referee Committee as the State Referee Registrar.
