How to get the required hours of recertification.

There are five ways to get the four clinic hours required for recertification, for all grade 8 and 9 referees.

1. Attend a four hour recertification clinic
--There will approx be 20 of the clinics (see the Clinics page to see location of these clinics.)

2. Attend four Local Association meetings
--Only meetings by associations recognized by the IRC will count for recertification. (see Local Associations page to view the 8 recognized associations)

3. Attend a portion of entry level class and take the re-cert test
--See the Clinics page for a schedule of Entry Level Clinics
--Contact the instructor of the desired entry level clinic to check on what portion of the class you need to attend

4. Pass the online, web based training module and exam

--Log into your personal account
--Click on "Training Modules"
--Select the current Recertification module

5. Attend the Iowa Referee Academy/Advanced Referee Clinic

Newly registered referees are exempt from this requirement for their first year of re-registration.
