Steps to Re-Register Online

Step 1: Enter your username and password on the right side of the homepage under the heading Iowa RefLink.
• Note: If unsure of your username/password, please refer to this help page.

Step 2: Once you have logged in, your Iowa RefLink main menu will appear.
• On the left side of this screen are the navigation links. Here you will find a number of options that you can do from your personal account.
• In the center of the screen is a message center. This area will display important messages from administrators.
• On the right side of this screen you will see your current registration status, as well as information about you that is stored in the system: written test scores, fitness test scores, and clinic attendance records.

Step 3: From this main menu, look to the left side and find the heading Registration Controls.
• Look at the Status indicator. If it shows a red Closed note, you are currently unable to re-register and will need to return later. This can be due to a couple of factors:
1. The online registration period is not open. Re-Registrations will be opened June 15 through March 1
2. The other possible reason is that you have not completed the required number of clinic hours in the past year to re-register (required starting June 15, 2007). Once you have completed the required 4 hours of training, your registration will open if it is in the registration period.
• If the Status indicator shows a green Open note, you are able to re-register at this time. Click the link now available –Complete Registration Form

Step 4: Once you click the Registration Form link, your online registration form will appear. Complete this form exactly as you would the old paper-copy registration form. All information must be completed.
• Note: With this new online form, if you are registering as more than just a referee (ie: an assessor, instructor, assignor, or indoor referees as well), you will only need to complete this one form to register for all.
• All areas in red/yellow highlight must be completed or your registration form will not be processed.
• At the bottom of the form you will be asked whether you want to pay your registration fees online via credit/debit card or offline via check/cash. Select the method you wish to use and press the Submit Registration button.

Step 5: Completing Payment
If you selected to pay online:
• When you click the Submit Registration button, a new screen will open showing the registration fees that you owe. Follow the instructions on the page to pay via PayPal using your credit or debit card. It takes approximately 3 minutes to complete payment online if you don’t have a PayPal account – if you do it takes less than 30 seconds.
If you selected to pay offline:
• When you click the Submit Registration button, a new screen will open showing the registration fees that you owe. You must print this screen and mail it with a check/cash in the amount indicated on the page to the State Registrar whose address is listed on the page as well.
* Your registration will not be processed until payment in the proper amount is received.
