For Your Information...

Referee Notice to Iowa Referees for
2008 USSF Registration

2007 was the first year that you were required to re-register using an online web based system via the IRC website. As with any new system, a few issues popped up that were unexpected. Those issues have since been rectified with a wide-ranging upgrade to our online system. We are confident that this upgrade will make the 2008 re-registration process a much easier experience for everyone.

In order to referee in the calendar year of 2008, you must complete your online registration between July 15, 2007 and December 31, 2007. If you are not registered prior to December 31, 2007, you will be ineligible to referee matches in 2008.

On line via the IRC website is now the only method that we will be accepting for registration. In order to complete your re-registration, please refer to the following steps:

1) Go to www.iowareferees.org and log in to your personal account. If this will be your first time logging in, please refer to the login help available on the homepage.
2) Once logged in, look to the left side for the Registration Controls section. If the status shows as “Open for 2008,” you may proceed to re-register. If not, and it is inside the registration window (July-December), then you have most likely not met the minimum number of recertification hours (4), and will need to attend the necessary training before you can re-register. An on-line test and list of clinics are available on the web site.
3) Click on the Complete Registration Form link.
4) Complete all necessary parts of the form, including the selection of your desired method of payment.
5) Click the Submit button at the bottom of the form.
6) Follow instructions that appear to complete your payment. Payment can be made online via secure PayPal transaction, or by printing off an official receipt and mailing a check/cash to the Registrar indicated on the site and listed below. Absolutely no registration will be approved until payment is received and with a proper form.

Should you have any issues arise while using the system, please refer to the help guides available on the website, and if necessary contact the system administrators via the email addresses listed on the site.

Those of you who attended an entry level referee clinic, to become a referee, that was held during June/July/August/September of 2007 will not have to register for the 2008 season. Your attendance at that entry level clinic already placed you in the system as a referee for 2008.
